Lunarpages supplies a customised version of the industry standard cPanel for administration of your account. The Lunarpages implementation of cPanel consists of all the functions we've come to expect from cPanel, including a web-based file manager, domain and email configuration and access to full traffic statistics for your domains.Overall, if you are coming from another cPanel based host, you should have no problems using the Lunarpages administration panel.

On their web site, Lunarpages state that they experience a 99.9% uptime on all servers and network equipment over any 12 month period. While we often see this type of boast on web hosting providers' web sites, we are happy to report that this particular boast was somewhat confirmed by our own experience.Our Lunarpages test site was monitored for a 3 month period and during this time we detected absolutely no down-time. While we obviously can not guarantee that you will experience similar 100% uptime with your own Lunarpages hosted site, their infrastructure does appear to be extremely robust and reliable.

I have had sites with LunarPages since 2002 and have never had any issues. When I was desperate for tech support, they were extremely helpful. I am a computer professional, but occasionally make mistakes. I certainly wouldn't blame LunarPages for my mistakes and my lack of knowledge. There is a ton of knowledge on their forums and the tutorials can help the newbie with most tasks. I think too many people just like to complain instead of looking for a solution and want their hand held. One of my sites is a non-profit organization and we count on our website for about 1/2 of our income. Our customers have never complained that their purchases couldn't be processed, and believe me I would hear about it. I have been with LunarPages for around 5 years and now manage 9 different sites through them. I have had the occasional problem with support but it has been more with the Billing Department and with the lower level of tech support services. Once you get above this level they have been absolutely great. My experience is that they live up to the 99.9% uptime guarantee - even when they have upgraded my server or moved my server to a different data center. Have had problems with using PHP with other hosts, but never with LunarPages and all of their free programs work well.From: Gold Coast, Qld. Australia

I've been with LunarPages for about 2 years. Some of the free software is great, like the Logo Creator. I've never been told that I use too much server resources even with heavy traffic and forums. I've only had to contact support about 4 times. Lately I've noticed my websites go down for a few minutes at a time. Once somebody called me to complain a site was down for ten minutes and I checked, sure enough, 3 out of 4 of my sites were down. 20 minutes later I still had no answer to my support ticket but I found the problem myself. The .htaccess file was overwritten (not by me) so it reverted to php4 instead of php5, which some of my sites need to run. I updated my support ticket complaining why somebody changed my .htaccess file and I finally got a reply that simply said "we don't alter cu

I signed up for their basic 4.95/mo plan with unlimited storage and bandwidth about 6 months ago, paid for 12 months, got a free domain, etc... I am now running five different sites using that one plan, all of which php/mysql content, all of which run perfectly. The rare couple of times I needed tech help I just used the online/email system and they usually just fixed it on their end then emailed me a description of what they did so I could do it myself if I needed to in the future. Overall, I could not be more pleased. CPanel is a fantastic interface and combines with Fantastico I can go from zero to a whole new blog or forum in a couple of minutes. I highly recommend lunapages as a web host; I have been with Lunapages for the past 4 months, and have never had any problems with the up time, or the support requests. I chose to join Lunapages 3 days before Christmas Day 2008, and chose the wrong account to start with, i contacted support, and was able to move to the correct account, they where also happy to move my sign up domain to a sub domain, and the 200MB of data i had already uploaded as well. The site has very basic over view controls from the log in site, but once you get to your sites cpanel, it has every feature found in the latest version of cpanel.
