Bluehost give customers a number of choices when it comes to technical support. Firstly, there is the superb on-line help-center, where you can browse or search a large knowledge base of articles on a diverse range of subjects; this is often the quickest and easiest way to solve a problem. The help-center also provides the ability to open a support ticket directly to Bluehost support staff. We opened a number of support tickets during our test period and found the replies to be both prompt and accurate.For those that prefer receiving their technical support from a 'real live human', Bluehost provide a 24 hour / 7 day technical support phone number. Bluehost also supply a separate technical support number for those customers outside of the United States.

Massive storage space, bandwidth and plan features are of no use if your chosen web host lacks basic network reliability. Nothing sours a relationship with a web host faster than frequent downtime. Of-course, some planned downtime is unavoidable, for things like network upgrades and maintenance, but a good host will keep such outages to a minimum and provide adequate warning to their customers.Thankfully, we can report that our Bluehost test site experienced excellent reliability. We only detected one short 30-minute outage during our 3-month monitoring period. While we would have preferred no downtime at all, the 30 minutes represents only a very small percentage of the total, and our overall uptime during the 3 months was in excess of the 'magic' 99.9% that is often quoted by other web h

Blue host was the first web host I've used, and so far its gone well. I did have issues with my web browser. I'm on a mac, and was using firefox and every time I would try to connect to the ftp I would receive a message that said the page did not exist. I did call in to the help line and went through various ways to try and connect, which included emptying my cache about a dozen times, and still didn't get an answer (which is why its a 4, but they genuinely seemed to be trying to find an answer as they had someone in the office connecting with firefox) and it works fine on safari. It is a little messy at first, but after a while you get the hang of it. So far no big issues have happened that would cause me to advise against bluehost.From: Kenosha, WI

I've had Bluehost for 3 years. They are great because of their price. I notice that their up time is a little less than desirable, so if you run an e-commerce site, be careful. I was new to using Wordpress, and Bluehost was able to provide my site with 1-click installs of everything I needed to get the site up and running. It has been 2 years now, and I have never had any downtime or issues of any kind. I would highly recommend Bluehost. I am currently hosting about 10 websites with Bluehost. As with any company you are going to have some problems. I have only had a couple of times where I have had to threaten to take my business else where for them to get their act together. I would recommend them to people that want to host a fun site. All my "mission critical" sites are hosted on dedicated servers.From: Texas
