A new weekly event has been started by the infamous Paul McCartney. In an effort to raise awareness about the cruelty to animals he has decided to start "Meat Free Monday's" Meat free Monday is a brand new marketing campaign aimed at the nation to reduce the mean consumption levels and to promote becoming a vegetarian. Slow down climatically changes by reducing your mean consumption. Started by Stella, Mary, and Paul McCartney in an effort to raise awareness about the environmental problems caused by meat consumption. They are encouraging people to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions (GNG) by having oe day a week where they do not eat any meat products. Eco-conscious is a term that I've been hearing a lot lately. Specifically, people have been taking a more action-oriented approach at making this a better planet. But it's not just the efforts of large corporations and collaborative units (i.e. – Doug Band and the CGI) on issues like renewable energy, sustainable crops, and fuel emission reduction; it's actually the act of the individual that's providing for a greener future. For instance, there's been great development work on eco-gadgets, or items that allow us to do everyday tasks, while remaining safe for the environment and the user. This would include the lessened usage of batteries; one such example is a usb wireless optical mouse that feeds off a battery-less receiver. Another fine example would include green rags, which have become a hit over the past couple of years. Biodegradable and highly efficient, these can be used to clean windows, wash cars, dry hands, etc… Although, gadgets aren't the only thing that have prov

Doesn’t that seem like a strange thing to say? Bamboo is a plant, after all. Making clothing with bamboo will simply add another tree to man’s murder list for nature, wouldn’t it? Well, while it is true that bamboo clothing will need bamboo plants to be used, this is one time that when even a diehard advocate of “Kill No Trees” like myself will say “yes” to utilizing bamboo for clothing. Yes, this is one time when it is really “utilization” rather than destruction. Nature friendly people do understand the concept of food chain and necessary killing; what we do not advocate is wanton destruction. In this case, since people do need clothing, and since utilizing bamboo for clothing will create less of the synthetic clothing material that is harmful to the environment, we think using more bamboo clothing is going to be very beneficial for Mother Nature.
