Vegetable Shapes Garden Kid's Craft

Vegetable Shapes Garden Kid's Craft Spring is an excellent time to teach children about the science of plants; how they begin from seed and soil, and with a little water and sun they become a fruit, vegetable, tree, flower, etc. It is also the perfect opportunity to take a moment to teach your youngsters about shapes and colors by creating this very easy Shapes Vegetable Garden Kid's Craft! Classified: Easy and is great for the toddler and early preschool crowd. What you need: Orange, yellow, red, green and white construction paper Scissors Glue Brown paint Sponge What to do: Prep: For young toddlers, cut orange triangles for carrots, yellow ovals for corn and red circles for tomatoes. Also cut out some green vines, stalks and leaves for the corresponding vegetable. For preschoolers, simply trace each shape onto the construction paper and have them cut it out on their own. Read books about gardens, talk about growing a vegetable garden- or- grow one for yourself

Hand and Footprint Lizard (Iguana) Kid's Craft

Hand and Footprint Lizard (Iguana) Kid's Craft My little man is really starting to bloom and show his interests- one of which is dinosaurs and animals of all kinds! There is nothing I love more than going with my child's interests and allowing them to chose the topic of what we learn and create. This weeks lesson is all about lizards- and this time we made one using our hand and footprints and creating a iguana or lizard. Classified: Easy and is great for toddler up! What you need: Paint: green, yellow, orange, etc. Sponge brush White paper (12"x18" or larger) Your child's hand and feet Wiggle Eyes Glue What to do: 1. Read your child a fun book about Lizards. Have all supplies ready to go! 2. Paint your child's foot and print onto the white piece of paper. Continue to paint and print so each foot is a top of the next one in a straight line. 3. Paint your child's hand yellowish orange and print along the top of the feet print to make spikes. Allow all to dry. 4. Assist yo
